China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone is a regional free trade zone established by the Chinese government in Shanghai, located within Pudong. It is part of China's free trade zone framework. The China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone was officially established on September 29, 2013, covering an area of 28.78 square kilometers. It includes four special customs supervision areas: Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone, Waigaoqiao Free Trade Logistics Park, Yangshan Free Trade Port Area, and Shanghai Pudong Airport Comprehensive Free Trade Zone. On December 28, 2014, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress authorized the State Council to expand the area of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone to 120.72 square kilometers. The expanded area includes Lujiazui Financial Area, Jinqiao Development Area, and Zhangjiang High-Tech Area.

Lujiazui Financial Area covers 34.26 square kilometers, bounded by Jiyang Road, Pudong South Road, Longyang Road, Jinxiu Road, and Luoshan Road to the east, the Middle Ring Road to the south, the Huangpu River to the west, and the Huangpu River to the north. Jinqiao Development Area covers 20.48 square kilometers, bounded by the Outer Ring Green Belt to the east, Jinxiu East Road to the south, Yanggao Road to the west, and Jufeng Road to the north. Zhangjiang High-Tech Area covers 37.2 square kilometers, bounded by the Outer Ring Road and Shenjiang Road to the east, the Outer Ring Road to the south, Luoshan Road to the west, and Longdong Avenue to the north.

中国（上海）自由贸易试验区，是中国政府设立在上海的区域性自由贸易园区，位于浦东境内，属中国自由贸易区范畴。2013年9月29日中国（上海）自由贸易试验区正式成立，面积28.78平方公里，涵盖上海市外高桥保税区、外高桥保税物流园区、洋山保税港区和上海浦东机场综合保税区等4个海关特殊监管区域。2014年12月28日全国人大常务委员会授权国务院扩展中国（上海）自由贸易试验区区域，将面积扩展到120.72平方公里。扩展区域包括陆家嘴金融片区、金桥开发片区和张江高科技片区。其中，陆家嘴金融片区，共34.26平方公里，东至济阳路、浦东南路、龙阳路、锦绣路、罗山路，南至中环线，西至黄浦江，北至黄浦江。金桥开发片区，共20.48平方公里，东至外环绿带，南至锦绣东路，西至杨高路，北至巨峰路。张江高科技片区，共37.2平方公里，东至外环线、申江路，南至外环线，西至罗山路，北至龙东大道。
